In Court: ATC remands minors to jail custody
According to the police, the teenagers belonged to Lyari's Sheeraz Comrade gang
KARACHI:
An Anti-Terrorism Court-III remanded two suspects, Abdul Basit alias Kala and Mairaj, to jail custody till November 21 in an explosive materials case on Saturday.
The investigation officer requested the court to allow the physical remand of both the suspects so that the police could map out their connections. The court rejected the request and remanded the accused to jail custody for seven days as they were minors.
The court also told jail authorities to determine the ages of the suspects through the police surgeon.
According to the police, the teenagers belonged to Lyari's Sheeraz Comrade gang and were arrested on Friday within the limits of Garden police.
The police claimed to have seized hand grenades from their possession.
