Quaid-e-Azam Trophy: Jamal guides NBP to innings victory over Lions
The 26-year-old took six in the second innings to guide team home

A brilliant spell of bowling by Ahmed Jamal guided NBP to a victory of an innings and 167 runs over Lahore Lions on the third day of their Gold league fixture of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
In reply to NBP’s 542-9, Lions were bowled out for 159 in their first innings and asked to follow on. Jamal’s six-wicket haul in the second innings helped dismiss the hosts for 226.
In another match, Rizwan Akber took four and Rashid Latif took three as Rawalpindi Rams bowled out top-ranked Wapda for 162 in their second innings. Rams ended the day on 19-2 and need 189 more runs to win.
At the Arbab Stadium in Peshawar, SNGPL were batting at 129-6 and need 93 more runs on the final day.
Mir Hamza’s five-wicket haul for Karachi Dolphins restricted UBL to 291 runs. Dolphins were batting at 95-1 at stumps and lead by 215 runs.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Leopards were playing 204-4 in their second innings against PQA, needing another 120 runs to win.
ZTBL, with the aid of Shahid Yousuf’s 71, ended the day at 222-7 in their second innings to lead with 184 runs against Multan Tigers.

Karachi Zebras won their match against Lahore Eagles as Basit Ali took five wickets with Maroof Aziz and Mansoor Ahmed claiming two each.
Nazar Hussain’s nine wickets against Hyderabad Hawks left Quetta Bears on the brink of victory, needing 62 runs with six wickets in hand.
SSGC need four wickets to win the match against HBL, who on the other hand need 140 runs to win on the final day.
Faisalabad Wolves were batting at 141-2 but need another 299 to win against Sialkot Stallions.
