Political rhetoric: Pir Pagara meets MQM delegation

Pir Pagara says the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had made all of Sindh like Thar

KARACHI:

The president of Pakistan Muslim League - Functional Pir Pagara has said that the Constitution of Pakistan provides clear procedure for the formation of new provinces.

He was addressing a press conference at his residence, accompanied by leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday.

"The administrative units in Sindh cannot be constituted according to my wish or anyone else's," he said.

Speaking about the Thar issue, Pir Pagara said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had made all of Sindh like Thar, adding that at every step, there was death, calamity, starvation and the worst law and order situation.

"Even in the chief minister's own constituency, no one is safe after sunset," he claimed.

MQM leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also lashed out at the government for its negligence of Thar. "In the larger interests of the province, all political forces must join hands to save it from more disasters," he said.
