CM lauds Turkish delegation for Eid gesture

The Turk delegation sacrificed 4,500 animals in the flood-hit areas and distributed the meat among the people.

By celebrating Eid with the flood affected, the delegation from Turkey has proved that Turk people consider Pakistan as their home,” said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday.

He was hosting a reception for the 75-member Turk delegation at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. The Turk delegation sacrificed 4,500 animals in the flood-hit areas and distributed the meat among the people.

They also donated money and relief goods for the rehabilitation of the affected people.

He said that the government and the people of Turkey had always supported Pakistan in the time of crises.


He stressed on the need to promote further cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, industry, education, trade, science and technology.

Dogan Kanak, vice president Business Tuskon Confederation said that the Turks considered Pakistan as their special friend.

“The cooperation extended by the Muslims of the subcontinent in the struggle for Turkey’s independence can never be forgotten,” he said. He also expressed his desire for the promotion of bilateral trade between the two countries.
