Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)
LAHORE:
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) officers raided a CNG station at Raiwind Road on Monday where gas was being stolen. FIA Punjab Director Dr Usman Anwar said that the Fahad gas station was sealed because it owner had tampered with the gas meter. “They had stolen gas worth Rs7.8 million,” he said. In another raid, police arrested a shopkeeper for stealing electricity in Salamatpura. Officials said that Ismail had bribed the meter reader, who did not report the electricity theft. Separately, SNGPL disconnected 45 gas connections over non-payment.
