Heinous crime: Minor raped in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD:

Police said on Tuesday that a man wanted for assaulting a child in Chak Jhumra had been arrested.

Nazeer Masih, a resident of Chak 107-JB told The Express Tribune that Kashif Ali had came to his house and asked the residents to clean his haveli. He said he had sent his daughter there as the other family members were busy with domestic chores. Masih said he had raped her in the haveli. He said he had fled after she started crying for help.

CPO Sohail Habib Tajik directed Chak Jhumra SHO Muhammad Khalid to quickly nab the suspect after learning about the incident.

The SHO said a case had been registered against him. He said a team had been constituted to nab the suspect following Tajik’s directive. Khalid said the team had arrested him in a raid at a house in Chak 107-JB. He said further action would be taken against the suspect after the receipt of a medico-legal report.
