All guns blazing: Imran is obsessed with centre while K-P suffers: QWP chief
Change does not come by sitting on containers, says Aftab Sherpao.
MINGORA:
Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Tuesday said one cannot serve the people and wish for change by sitting on containers.
“Those who aspire to make ‘Naya Pakistan’ should at least make ‘Naya Swat’ first,” he said while addressing a workers convention at Wadudia Hall, Saidu Sharif.
Sherpao added shallow claims do little good. “PTI was elected to bring change but it disappointed the people as corruption, extortion and kidnappings are rampant,” he alleged. “People have lost trust in the moribund provincial government.”
Sherpao also took a dig at the speeches and tall claims of PTI leaders, criticising the language used in the sit-ins.
The QWP chief said Swat deserves attention because of the damage inflicted by militancy and floods.
He claimed thousands of industries are on the verge of closing down, but Imran Khan cared little about the sector.
“He is obsessed with the central government while the provincial government is helpless,” he said.
