In the line of duty: Heirs of fallen officers receive cheques

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Tayyab Hafeez Cheema distributed cheques amounting to Rs1.6 million among families of traffic police officers who died while performing their duties. The compensation was given at an event arranged at the city traffic police lines at Niaz Beg on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Cheema said that dedicated officers were an asset for the city traffic police. He also gave away prizes for good performance. Cheema said that 290 patrol officers would be trained to use the bikes the department had received from a motorbike manufacturing firm.
