Nutrition matters: Lactometer to check milk quality

LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority announced on Monday that it will check loose milk for nutritional value through a device called lactometer. The PFA said a lactometer reading between 28 and 30 was considered acceptable all over the world. They decided that the reading for milk sold in the province should not be less than 28.
