Preservation: 111-year-old church being renovated
The minister visited various parts of the church and inspected rehabilitation and renovation work
FAISALABAD:
Steps are being taken for renovation and rehabilitation of a 111-year-old church in Khushpur said Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights Tahir Khalil Sindhu on Monday.
He was talking to newsmen during his visit to the church in Khushpur with District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal.
Former adviser Johnson Michael, Father Aftab James Pall and Father Anjum were also present.
The minister visited various parts of the church and inspected rehabilitation and renovation work.
He directed the contractor to ensure use of quality material in the renovation of the church.
The DCO said Khushpur had been declared a heritage site by the district administration. He said a road from Nara Dadda Adda Gojra to Khushpur village would be built to facilitate commuters. APP
