Deadly Bite: Dengue patient dies at PIMS

A patient suffering from dengue fever died at the PIMS

ISLAMABAD:
A patient suffering from dengue fever died at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Monday. The hospital spokesperson said Dr Ayesha Ishani said Zahir Shah, 65, died of dengue hemorrhagic fever. He hailed from Haripur. Shah was brought to Pims on November 3 and six days later, was shifted to the ICU and put on a ventilator. The surveillance officer at the ICT Health Department, Dr Najeeb Durrani, said 18 dengue cases have been reported from the capital so far.
