After a brief lull in skirmishes between Pakistani and Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary, the Indian army once again resorted to ‘unprovoked’ firing on Saturday. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the ‘unprovoked’ firing took place in the Pando sector of the LoC near Muzaffarabad, capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani troops responded befittingly to the Indian firing, and no casualty or loss was reported, the statement added. The ISPR further said that the intermittent exchange of fire between the two sides continues. Earlier, in a spate of skirmishes between the two countries, at least 21 people were reportedly killed on the Pakistani side.
