Fake degree allegations, another resignation

LAHORE: Rana Mubashar of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz resigned from his Punjab Assembly seat on Tuesday for allegedly possessing a fake degree.

The election tribunal was hearing a petition against Mubashar for presenting a fake degree to contest the elections. His counsel Hamid Khan said he made the decision to resign after consulting the party's leadership.

The case against him has been effectively closed in the Supreme Court upon his resignation. The apex court has directed that elections be held to fill the vacated seat.

According to reports, one voter of constituency PP-160 challenged the bachelor degree of Rana Mubashir Iqbal in the court. The degree was found bogus while the court has offered MPA to resign from his membership otherwise he would be disqualified for next elections.

wazdan | 14 years ago | Reply Do we have something we beleive in.80% of polititions are fake in Pakistan.The degree holders has done nothing why we are asking for degres edgucation.most leaders of the world were not edgucated.We have not seen any improvement while the restriction applyed.

We elect the persons whom we vote and send to assemblies to solve our problems, but as a voter we have not information about our own candidate while sometimes we deliberately act as we do not know. So in such case how can one be said that " Hum Zinda Qaum he " 2ndly do our political leadership rather of PPP or PML(N) or any other not upto date about their own candidate. Do they not make sure or verify the credibility of the candidate. How it can possible ? Just suppose that they had no information about the case, in this sense we can imagine the quality of our leadership who even can not be updated about their own candidate then how can they would be well informed about the condition of people over they are going to rule? Surely they know every thing but they just play with our emotions, sentiments and hopes etc. Phir b "Hum Zinda Qaum he" 3rdly and finall our concerns about such matters go towars Supereme Court Which looks final destination to our destiny. What kind of steps against these cases has been taken by SC. Nothing 00000000 etc. Inturn,The most precious Time, Funds, facilities with many other social benifits are enjoyed by such personalites and result is the only "resignation". No one ask them that hw they dare to provide wrong information to Govt. to participate in election. but "poochay ga kon" "hum to Zinda qaum he......"

They have not only wasted time/money, we will see month's of political activities that will push main issues (electriciy etc) on the back seat. They should be barred for life and must also pay for all the money that will be spent on by-elections (or go to jail for at least 7 - 10 years)!
