According to an official of Panjgur Levies, a patrol of security forces was also escorting the vehicle
QUETTA:
A vehicle of Frontier Works Organization (FWO) was partially damaged by a remote controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Panjgur district of Balochistan on Friday. FWO is busy in road making contracts in the Makran division. According to an official of Panjgur Levies, a patrol of security forces was also escorting the vehicle. However, the roadside IED planted on Rakhshani River Road failed to cause any harm. “Everyone remained safe, only the vehicle was partially damaged, while the driver received minor injuries and was provided first aid,” the official at the Levies Thana told The Express Tribune. Security forces have cordoned off the area and started a search. Baloch militants were suspected to be responsible for the attack, sources said. However, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
