Ombudsman Intervenes: KMC sweeper gets job back
Lal had complained that he was appointed as sweeper in Jamshed Town in 2009
KARACHI:
The services of Natwar Lal, a sweeper working with the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), were restored after the intervention of Sindh Ombudsman Asad Ashraf Malik. Lal had complained that he was appointed as sweeper in Jamshed Town in 2009. Later, his appointment was declared ‘fake’ by the KMC district officer and he was fired. While the issue was still under investigation at the ombudsman secretariat, Lal appeared in person and informed that his services had been restored and he was paid as a result of the intervention of the ombudsman.
