Shoaib Malik eyes comeback in national side
Believes there is a lot of cricket left in him
KARACHI:
Pakistan’s seasoned all-rounder Shoaib Malik believes there is much more cricket left in him and is focused on making a comeback in the national side ahead of the 2015 World Cup.
The 32-year-old has not played for the country since the World Twenty20, but he has been doing well with both bat and ball in different T20 leagues of the world as well as in the domestic circuit.
“There’s plenty of cricket left in me and I’m eager to make a comeback in the national team with the World Cup approaching,” Malik told The Express Tribune.
“I’ve kept myself fit and have been doing well in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy."
Malik has so far scored 254 runs from four matches and picked up 13 wickets despite rumours regarding his action, which were dispelled by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
