Shah Mehmood Qureshi accidentally steps into Indian territory
Qureshi stepped forward to greet Indian citizens and troops on the order side of the border at Wagah
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while visiting the Wagah Border between India and Pakistan on Thursday, accidentally stepped across the boundary line and into Indian territory.
According to Express News, Qureshi stepped forward to greet Indian citizens and BSF troops on the other side of the border and accidentally crossed the marked line.
However, Pakistan Rangers informed Qureshi and he moved back. Soon after, the PTI leader joked, "I stepped into India" as someone in the backdrop added, "Without a visa."
Crossing the border line and stepping into territory normally results in the trespasser’s arrest.
The PTI vice chairman was visiting the border to condemn the suicide blast at the site that killed 61 people on November 2.
