Accident in Peshawar leaves 2 FC personnel dead, 45 injured

Two of the injured said to be in critical condition

PESHAWAR:
A collision between two Frontier Constabulary (FC) vehicles claimed the lives of two people and left 45 others injured, Express News reported on Thursday.

The passengers -- all FC personnel -- had just completed their Muharram duties in Kohat and were returning to Peshawar when the collision took place near the Zangli checkpost.

The collision caused both vehicles to topple over. The injured passengers were shifted to the hospital, where two of them are stated to be in critical condition.

Pakistan Army troops and FC personnel had been deployed across the country in wake of Muharram processions on Monday and Tuesday. Camps had been established nationwide to counter any emergency situation.
