Two held for murder
The police registered a murder case following the complaint of the deceased’s father
ISLAMABAD:
The Sabzi Mandi police held two Afghan nationals for allegedly looting and killing truck driver Jamal Shah on IJP Road on September 11, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The police also recovered stolen goods from them. The suspects, identified as Alif Shah and Bakhtawar, confessed their crime, said an official investigating the case.
The suspected robbers attempted to snatch cash and a cell phone from Shah while he was waiting for labourers to unload material from his truck. They stabbed him to death when he resisted.
According to details, four armed robbers tried to loot Shah when he was alone at the crime scene. The police registered a murder case following the complaint of the deceased’s father. Efforts are also under way to arrest other the remaining suspects, the police added.
