Crippling Disease: Fighting polio govt’s priority: Shahbaz

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Monday eradication of polio was a priority of the government. He was speaking to Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation country coordinator for Pakistan and Afghanistan Waqar Ajmal. Sharif said a national action plan against polio was being implemented to provide the new generation a polio-free environment. He said coordinated efforts were being made to check polio cases. The chief minister praised the foundation for its cooperation in fighting the crippling disease. Ajmal praised the government for taking steps to end polio. He said the foundation would continue to extend cooperation in this regard.
