President approves Niaz Khattak as FPSC chairman among 10 appointments

The President also approved the appointment of Liaqat Ali Shah Hamdani as the Controller General of Accounts.

ISLAMABAD:
President Mamnoon Hussain, on the advice of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday approved the appointment of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) member Major-General (retd) Niaz Muhammad Khan Khattak as the body's chairman, along with nine other appointments.


Khattak has been appointed as the FPSC chairman for the un-expired portion of his term as a member of the body. Additionally, the President also approved the appointment of Akhlaq Ahmed Tarar (retired BS-22 officer of Secretariat Group) and Mazhar Ali Khan (BS-22 officer Secretariat Group) as members of the body.


The President further approved the appointment of Liaqat Ali Shah Hamdani as the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) of FPSC.

Upon the PM’s advice, the President approved six appointments in the Federal Service Tribunal.

Among those appointed as full time members of FPSC include retired district and sessions judge from Punjab Dr Riaz Mahmood, retired district and sessions judge from Punjab Syed Nasir Ali Shah, retired district and sessions judge from Sindh Salman Ansari, advocate from Balochistan Muhammad Javed Iqbal Kasi, retired federal secretary (BS-22) from Punjab and Dr Nazir Saeed, retired civil servant (BS-21) from Punjab Syed Muhammad Hamid.
