Police registered a case against 17 police officials for tampering with official records

Madina Town police on Sunday registered a case against 17 police officials for tampering with official records. A police spokesman told The Express Tribune that Madina Town Station House Officer (SHO) Rana Atif Mehmood had filed a complaint saying that as many as 17 police officers who were appointed as SHOs at Madina Town in the past had embezzled funds and tampered with official records. He said a case had been registered under Section 173 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Inspector Muhammad Hussain, Inspector Dilbar Hussain, Sub Inspector (SI) Javaid Ikram, SI Nasraullah Khan, SI Kashif, Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Kashif Imran, ASI Riaz Ahmad, ASI Muhammad Aslam, ASI Zulfiqar Ali, ASI Imran, ASI Ali Ikram, ASI Shehbaz and ASI Muhammad Aslam.
