Busted: Eight gangsters and militants caught

Around three suspected militants and five alleged gang members were arrested during separate raids carried out in parts of the city on Sunday. Three suspects were apprehended during a raid conducted on a tip-off at the militants’ hideout in Yousuf Goth, in Surjani Town. Sources said that explosives, a suicide jacket and weapons were seized from their possession. The suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning. In an unrelated incident, five suspected gangsters were arrested during a targeted raid conducted at the gangsters’ hideout Lyari. The raids were conducted in Liaquat Colony, Khadda Market and Moosa Lane. According to the Rangers spokesperson, five gangsters were arrested while weapons were also recovered from their possession.
