A landslide in Baja village of Swabi district claimed the lives of two men on Saturday. A labourer identified as Aman Syed and his employer Sultan Bahadur were killed during excavation work on a mountain. Both were residents of Maini. A Swabi police official said the incident took place around 9am. He added Sultan’s brother Riaz Bahadur lodged a report saying a large rock slid down the mountain, triggering a landslide. Both Syed and Sultan were buried underneath the layer of earth along with a tractor and trolley. Locals rushed to the spot soon after the incident and dug out the bodies after two hours of efforts.
