Sniper attack: Orakzai Scouts official shot dead
Hawaldar Yasin was on duty at a check post in Sherin Darra, Lower Orakzai

An unidentified sniper shot dead a member of the Orakzai Scouts in Sherin Darra area of the agency early Friday morning. According to an official of the security forces, Hawaldar Yasin was on duty at a check post in Sherin Darra, Lower Orakzai when a sniper shot at him from the direction of Akka Khel, Khyber Agency. Yasin died on the spot. His body was shifted to the Orakzai Scouts base and a search operation was launched in the areas surrounding the check post, however, no one was arrested. After the funeral, Yasin’s body was sent to his hometown of Jamrud, Khyber Agency.
