Webber lauds F1 champion, Ferrari boss wounded by team's defeat.

ABU DHABI: Newly-crowned Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel promised to be just as competitive next year after becoming the youngest ever world drivers’ champion at 23.

“It is a goal that I have pursued since I was a kid and when you reach it, it’s a huge step forward,” said Vettel. “But this title is not the end, things will continue. We will continue to be fully motivated next season and we want to continue what we have accomplished this season.”

Meanwhile, Mark Webber congratulated Vettel and insisted that their heated relationship had only helped spur each other on. Meanwhile, Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali admitted that he was feeling wounded by his team’s defeat.

“The only thing you can do is to do a better job next year because we have all the elements to do it,” said Domenicalli.
