Protesting outside ECP: Police register case against PTI workers
Police have also registered two cases against OGDCL employees on charges of rioting and assaulting policemen

The Secretariat police have registered a case against workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf for blocking a road, setting an effigy of the Prime Minister of Pakistan on fire and for using megaphones.
The police said Amir Mughal, along with six nominated suspects, and 60 to 70 rally attendees, took out a rally on the orders of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and set the effigy of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on fire in front of the office of Election Commission of Pakistan.
The police added that the case was registered on the directions of the Secretariat assistant commissioner. No arrests have been made in the case so far.
Two cases registered against OGDCL employees
The police have also registered two cases in separate police stations against the employees of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) on charges of rioting and assaulting policemen.
The Kohsar police have registered a case under sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) 147 (punishment for rioting) and 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the Pakistan Penal Code against Muhammad Akram, 39 nominated and 300-400 unidentified individuals.
The police said Akram and others took out a rally against the privatisation of 10 per cent shares of OGDCL and pelted the police with stones when stopped in Blue Area.
Separately, the Secretariat police have registered a case against Malik Akhlaq and 300 to 400 others for rioting, attacking police and using megaphones.
The police said Akhlaq and others scuffled with senior police officials and pelted stones on the officials on duty. As a result, DSP Muhammad Ashraf Shah, SHO Kohsar Muhammad Iqbal and ASI Liaquat Ali were injured, said the police.
No arrests have so far been made in both the cases.
