Preparations: Ban on pillion riding, use of heli-cams

KARACHI:
The home department of Sindh has imposed a ban on the use of heli-cams from Muharram 5 to Muharram 10 (October 30 to November 4) in and around venues of the Muharram processions, majalis and public gatherings in Sindh.
This is being done under Secion 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The department has also imposed a ban on pillion riding from Muharram 8 to Muharram 10 (November 2 to November 4) in 10 districts of Sindh, including Hyderabad, Sanghar, Khairpur, Sukkur and Karachi. The ban, however, is not applicable on women or children under the age of 12, senior citizens, journalists or law enforcers.
