Trade forum: RCCI delegation off to Kazakhstan

The purpose of the event is to promote trade relations among Central Asian States, Afghanistan and Pakistan

RAWALPINDI:

A 27-member trade delegation of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) left for Kazakhstan to participate in the Central Asian International Trade Forum and Trade Fair. The two-day exhibition will be held from October 29-30, 2014 in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city.

The purpose of the event is to promote trade relations among Central Asian States, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and encourage growth in potential partnerships of different sectors and investments.

It is being organised in collaboration with USAID with a similar conference being organised in Pakistan in April, 2014. Before departure, RCCI President Asad Haider Mashadi said the chamber is striving hard to promote trade relations with neighbouring and Central Asian States (CAS) and has planned to organise a single country exhibition in these states.

He said that it is an opportunity for Pakistani products to explore markets and it is the need of the hour to endorse non-traditional products to non-traditional trade markets.
