Metro bus project: Three labourers injured
Electrocuted after crane accidentally touches live wire during excavation
ISLAMABAD:
Three labourers working at the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Project in Blue Area were injured by electrocution on Monday after a crane accidentally touched a live wire during excavation and then the scaffolding pipes erected at the site. The labourers, identified as Shahjahan, Irfan and Badal, were injured when electric current passed through a live wire to the crane and then to the scaffolding pipes, informed police. The labourers were rushed to PIMS, where one of the victims was said to have 30% burn injuries.
