LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday discussed the possible reshuffle in the federal and provincial government. They also discussed the current political and law and order situation and development projects in the province during their meeting at Jati Umra.No official note regarding the meeting was issued. “The chief minister apprised the prime minister about the possible changes in the provincial cabinet,” a senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-L) office- bearer told The Express Tribune.“Former law minister Rana Sanaullah might rejoin the cabinet soon. Offices of some other ministries are also likely to be changed,” he said requesting anonymity.He said the chief minister also briefed the prime minister about steps taken to fight polio and dengue fever. “He also updated the prime minister about compensation being given to those affected by recent floods,” the PML-L leader said. They also discussed security arrangements for Muharram.“Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the government was wiling to hold dialogue with all political parties for the sake of empowering the parliament. He told the chief minister there should be a mechanism to evaluate the performance of each provincial minister,” another PML-N officer-bearer said.
