
Subhan (207) and Saad Ali (69) made 199 runs for the fourth wicket to post a total of 458-8 before declaring.
At the end of play, Shoaib Malik’s men were batting at 78-1, with Yasir Hameed unbeaten at 57. ZTBL, who scored 118 in their first innings, need another 484 runs to win on the fourth and final day.
In another match, Hammad Azam’s remarkable eight-wicket haul for National Bank restricted hosts Islamabad Leopards to 148 in their first innings.
Wapda’s Iftikhar Ahmed, who was not able to score big in the first innings, remained unbeaten in the second after smashing 131 runs off 207 balls, with Adnan Raees batting at 85 against Multan Tigers.
Tigers, who started the day on 279-9, were able to add only 12 runs to post 291 in their first innings. Wapda were batting at 260-2 at stumps.
At the Arbab Stadium, Peshawar Panthers were trying to make a comeback as Jamaluddin scored an unbeaten 109 to lead his team to a total of 239-7 against UBL, who resumed their first innings at 315-5 and added another 25 runs to end their innings on 340.
Meanwhile, Lahore Lions’ Umer Siddique scored 79 off 81 balls to help his team reach 170-7 in their second innings against SNGPL at the end of play.
PQA resumed their first innings against Rawalpindi Rams at 134-5 and added 106 runs before declaring their innings on 240-9 after Asim Kamal’s century (101).
At stumps on day three, Rams were 220-6 with the help of Usman Saeed’s 83 and Naveed Malik’s 59. Muhammad Saeed and Sohail Khan claimed two wickets apiece for PQA.
