Pakistan, India should bury differences, says Malala

She said one of the projects she will use her prize money for would be a high quality school in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:
Nobel Peace Prize-winning teenage activist Malala Yousafzai on Friday urged Pakistan and India to set aside their differences and spend more on education.

In an interview with PTV, she once again invited Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to attend the award ceremony of the Nobel Peace Prize in December.

Malala said she will spend her share of the $1.1 million prize money on projects for education in Pakistan. "We have to work together as 57 million children in Pakistan are still out of school. My dream is that every Pakistani child should get good quality education."

She said one of the projects she will use her prize money for would be a high quality school in Pakistan. The young activist added that her goal was to convince everyone to invest in education.
