Lahore High Court on Thursday turned down a petition filed by National Assembly member Malik Riaz seeking directions for the district returning officer to provide complete record of NA-118 to Nadra for inspection. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard the case. The judge dismissed the petition, saying it was not maintainable as it did not fall in the jurisdiction of the court. The judge said the matter should be decided by an election tribunal.Riaz told the court that the returning officer had not sent complete record of the constituency to the Nadra for an inspection ordered by an election tribunal. The petitioner said the inspection could not be valid until the record was not complete. He asked the court to order the returning officer to submit the remaining record of the constituency to the Nadra.
