The food department has handed over almost 0.8 million wheat bags

The food department has handed over almost 0.8 million wheat bags to the relief departments in drought-hit districts such as Tharparkar, Sanghar, Kachoo, Dadu, Thatta and Jamshoro. The bags were distributed free-of-charge. The spokesperson for the department said that in the first phase, 380,000 wheat bags had been provided from the warehouses of Mithi, Chachro, Islamkot, Diplo and Nangarparkar, while in the second phase, 389,918 wheat bags were supplied. The same quantity of wheat will be given in the third phase. The spokesperson further said that the wheat bags are also being provided in other drought-struck areas such as Kachoo, Dadu, Thatta, Jamshoro, Sanghar and Khipro.
