Bloody day for pedestrians
At least three pedestrians lost there lives in different incidents on the roads of the capital.

At least three pedestrians lost there lives on the roads of the capital on Monday.
Two motorbike riders were hit from behind by an oil tanker near 111 Stop in Sohan area. Eighteen-year-old Umer Iftikhar, a resident of Kahuta, was crushed under the tires of a oil tankers and died on the spot. Junaid Hussain, who was sitting behind him, suffered serious injuries. Both, the deceased and the injured, were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital where Hussain succumbed to his injuries.
The Shehzad Town Police registered a hit-and-run case against the unknown driver of the tanker, which was impounded later. The bodies of the two teenagers were handed over to their respective families after autopsy. The police launched investigations to nab the driver of the tanker.
In another incident, near Khanna Pul, a water-tanker ran over a pedestrian, killing him on the spot. Sixteen-year-old Saeed Anwar was trying to cross the road when he was hit by the tractor. When the boy fell to the ground, the tractor ran over his head. Body of Anwar, a resident of Pind Dayian near Koral, was shifted to Pims. It was handed over to his family after autopsy. The Shehzad Town Police registered a case against the driver of the water tanker Anjum Shehzad, who was nabbed.
