All aboard: PIA’s post-Hajj operation continues

PIA spokesperson said on Thursday that the national flag-carrier had operated 72 flights

A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson said on Thursday that the national flag-carrier had operated 72 flights to date as part of its post-Hajj operation.  He said the airline had ferried 34,000 pilgrims on regular and special flights to several cities in Pakistan from Jeddah. The spokesperson said PIA had ferried 4,000 pilgrims to Karachi on 12 flights, 6,800 to Lahore on 16 flights, 5,200 to Islamabad on 12 flights, 4,200 to Peshawar on 13 flights, 3,900 to Quetta on 13 flights, 987 to Multan on three flights and 1,500 to Sialkot on three flights. The spokesman said the operation would end on November 7.
