Crossfire: Constable killed, three criminals injured
Police raided the area after receiving information about the presence of a criminal gang
PESHAWAR:
One constable was shot dead while three criminals were injured during an encounter with police in Peshawar’s Paharhi Pura area on Tuesday evening. The police raided the area after receiving information about the presence of a criminal gang; however, the gang opened fire at the police party injuring Constable Yasir, who sustained bullet wounds and later succumbed to his injuries. Police said that three criminals also got injured during the exchange of fire with police, but added that the injured persons have not yet been arrested and search for them is still on.
