Mysterious Presence: Residents catch suspicious foreigner
The suspect was later handed over to the police
KARACHI:
A suspicious man, who claimed that he hails from the Nooristan province of Afghanistan, was apprehended by Azizabad residents on Tuesday. Some residents found the man lurking near Madni Masjid in Azizabad. When a Rangers van drove by, he crossed the barrier into the heavily guarded neighbourhood, which also serves as the headquarters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). According to his university card, the suspect’s name is Saifullah. The residents handed him over to the MQM workers. The party’s Iftikhar Alam later called a press conference in which he said that two cellphones with Afghanistan SIM cards and a memory card, containing photos of Tehreek-e-Taliban leaders were also recovered. Later, the suspect was handed over to the police.
