Investment in energy: Meteorology station inaugurated
A second meteorology station would be set up in Islamabad in the next few months
BAHAWALPUR:
Bahawalpur Commissioner Captain (r) Javed Akbar on Sunday inaugurated a meteorology station at Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park. Bahawalpur Solar Park Chief Executive Officer Najam Shah, Project Manager Sajjad Ahmad and World Bank representatives were also present. Addressing the ceremony, the commissioner said Rs10 million had been spent on the project. He said it had been built in collaboration with the World Bank. He said the government wanted to attract foreign investment in the energy sector to end the load shedding crisis. He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had taken special interest in completion of power projects at the earliest. He said construction of the solar park was being completed expeditiously.
