Heart disease: NICVD to initiate programme
NICVD executive director says they needed additional philanthropic support to meet the needs of young heart patients

The National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) is in the process of initiating an adult congenital heart disease programme to meet the ever-growing demands of patients aged between 18 to 30 years.
NICVD executive director Dr Khan Shah Zaman said that while the Sindh government had committed to extend financial assistance for the completion of a paediatric cardiac surgery, they needed additional philanthropic support to meet the needs of young heart patients.
