Indian troops violate ceasefire in Pukhlian sector
No loss of life or property has been reported in the latest exchange of fire

Indian troops resorted to ‘unprovoked’ firing and mortar shelling in Pulkhian Sector near the Sialkot working boundary on Sunday morning, according to an Inter Services Public Relations statement.
According to the statement, Pakistani troops responded ‘befittingly' to Indian aggression.
There were no reports of loss of life or property in the latest exchange of fire.
The ongoing clashes, which erupted on the first week of October, were the worst since the two countries agreed to a landmark ceasefire deal in 2003. Both countries have accused each other of starting the hostilities.
At least 12 Pakistanis have been have so far been killed in the ongoing skirmishes. The clashes have triggered an exodus of people from the villages near the LoC and working boundary.
Earlier today, Sartaj Aziz, the adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on national security and foreign affairs, appealed to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to advise India to adopt a reasonable approach and refrain its armed forces from acting irrationally and violating the ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
