Intrade Expo 2014: In search of opportunity, delegation off to Malaysia

Businessmen keen to promote bilateral trade with Kuala Lumpur

A delegation of Pakistani businessmen left to attend the Intrade Exhibition 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.


The delegation, headed by Pakistan-Malaysia Friendship Association (PMFA) President Shahid Jawed Qureshi, will also explore possibilities of trade and investment cooperation with Malaysian counterparts across different sectors.

Qureshi praised the efforts of the Consul General of Malaysia in Pakistan for extending maximum cooperation to PMFA in promoting bilateral trade. He said the association has been regularly attending events in Malaysia, which have resulted in many joint ventures and trade deals with the country.




Abubakar Mamat, Consul General, Malaysia at Karachi, is also taking keen interest and encouraging Pakistani businessmen to actively participate in the exhibition so that the prevailing trade imbalance between the two countries could be brought down.

Meanwhile, Qureshi said the recent visit of Malaysian trade commissioner, who is based in New Delhi, to Karachi this month was fruitful as mattes of promoting and further strengthening trade relations between the two countries came under discussion.
