Probe underway: Committee to probe attack on PU lecturer

LAHORE:

Punjab University VC Mujahid Kamran made a committee on Saturday to probe an attack on a woman lecturer on Friday.

Ayesha Hakeem is a lecturer at the Institute of Communication Studies.

Faculty of Science Dean In-charge Shahid Kamal will chair the committee. Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences Dean Zakria Zakir, Faculty of Life Sciences Dean Muhammad Akhter, Faculty of Commerce Dean In-charge Hassan Mobeen have been included in the committee.

Muslim Town police have registered an FIR of the incident.

Members of the PU’s senate condemned the attack.

They condemned the incident urged the authorities to take action against those found guilty of committing the offence.
