SHO say case registered against the man

Police said on Friday that a man wanted for assaulting a child in Samundri area had been arrested. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Samundri Station House Officer (SHO) Muhammad Usman said the man had raped the child in Muhammad Ashrafabad and fled. Usman said a police team had arrested him after conducting several raids. Nazir Ahmad, an uncle of the victim, said the child had been playing outside his house when the man approached him. He said he had asked the child to accompany him to the field to collect firewood. Ahmad said on returning home the child had informed his family regarding what had transpired. SHO Usman said a case had been registered against the man.
