Bahria Town initiative: Zardari meets children with cochlear implants
He also distributes gifts amongst them

Children who were successfully treated with cochlear implants at the Bahria Town Hospital Lahore went to meet the former president Asif Ali Zardari at the Bilawal House Lahore.
The Director Donations Programme Bahria Town, Umber Riaz Malik was also present at the occasion.
The in-charge of the Bahria Town Healthcare Program, Dr Shazia Asim shed light on Bahria Town’s free healthcare initiatives and the relentless efforts of the Cochlear Implant Centre.
Zardari appreciated Bahria Town’s free healthcare initiatives. He also distributed gifts amongst them.
These surgeries were provided to children who had been suffering from hearing and speech impairment since birth.
The cost of each operation was Rs2 million, which includes the operation, cochlear implant and post-operation care.
Bahria Town has performed 135 successful surgeries, completely free of cost in the past 18 months.
As per the future plans, Bahria Town Hospital will be treating 200 children on an annual basis at a cost of Rs400 million.
