Deadly revelry: Schoolgirl dies in celebratory firing

Seven-year-old Sonia says returning from school when she stopped to see a wedding ceremony

SARGODHA: A schoolgirl was killed after being hit by a bullet fired by members of a wedding party in Sahiwal. According to police, seven-year-old Sonia, a resident of Chandia village, was returning from school when she stopped to see a wedding ceremony. That was when the friends of the groom started firing shots in the air. One of the bullets hit Sonia, who died on the spot. A case has been registered against groom Raza Shah and his friend Asif Baloch.
