Trade relations: ICT meetings under way in US
A 20-man delegation will make the journey to improve trade and investment linkages between US and Pakistan
ISLAMABAD:
US ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson and Pakistan’s Board of Investment Chairman Dr Miftah Ismail are leading an information and communications technology (ICT) trade mission to Washington DC and California’s Silicon Valley, which will conclude on October 17. A 20-man delegation of Pakistani government officials and businessmen will make the journey to improve trade and investment linkages between US and Pakistan. The trade mission began on Monday, as meetings with the department of state, commerce, the federal communications commission and other agencies followed. The mission will continue to California for a three-day visit to explore opportunities with leading businesses in Silicon Valley. The schedule will feature networking events, meetings with executives from leading US companies, briefings, site visits, and one-on-one meetings with potential business partners.
