Punjab cabinet reshuffled

Shahbaz Sharif relinquishes charge of Punjab Interior Ministry. Law ministry withdrawn from Rana Mashood

LAHORE:
In a surprising move, the Punjab chief minister on Monday handed over reins of the provincial ministry to Environment Minister Shuja Khanzada as an additional charge as portfolios of three ministers were changed.

An official of DGPR claimed that the Cabinet Division had notified the change however no official confirmation was made.


According to the official, Environment Minister Shuja Khanzada has been given the additional charge of Punjab Interior Ministry. The charge was previously held by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Further, the additional portfolio of Law Minister was taken back from Education Minister Rana Mashood. It has now been entrusted to Minister for Excise and Taxation Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman.
