Chinese delegation says Confucius Institute would build a connection between the two countries

“The Confucius Institute at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will provide a platform to further cement cooperation in trade, energy,” said UAF Vice Chancellor Iqrar Ahmad Khan on Monday.  He was addressing a meeting with a five-member Chinese delegation headed by Xinjiang Agricultural University Associate Dean Yang Zhijiang. Khan told the delegation that the UAF would like Chinese help in offering short courses for technicians to help technical staff hone their skills and provide a galvanised work force to the market. He said the UAF would offer Chinese language courses at the Confucius Institute.  He said the CIUAF would also strengthen the university’s pharmacy programme. He said the CIUAF would also have faculty and student exchange programmes so that both countries could undertake joint research projects.  Zhijiang said the Confucius Institute would build a connection between the two countries.  He said the CIUAF would provide an opportunity to learn Chinese language.
